Math4SUstainability

The “Math4Sustainability” project focuses on imparting knowledge, understanding and action towards environmentally
sustainable practices through hands-on mathematical puzzles and socio-scientific dilemmas. We aim to transform
mathematical and logic puzzles based on recreational mathematics into exhibits that translate effects and reactions and
create room for open discussion and new STEM career pathways on green practices and environmental sustainability.

The “Math4Sustainability” project aims to implement the following activities among others:
-Focus groups, pilot-tests to enrich the content and identify specific gaps
-Hybrid Living Labs
-Pop-up exhibits with teachers, students and relevant stakeholders
-Creation of e-booklets and e-guides on the project aims
-Long-term exploitation, dissemination and policy impact on the matters of environmental sustainability through our
dissemination and exploitation activities.

The “Math4Sustainability” project aims to produce and expand these 3 work packages:
WP2: Green Exhibits and E-Booklet on environmental sustainability practices

WP3: A series of environmental dilemmas and Green pop-up exhibits for the classroom
WP4: Green Living Labs and E-Guide
