CODING KIDS! – AN INTERSECTORAL COLLABORATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF DIGITAL PEDAGOGY IN STEM EDUCATION

The Coding Kids project focuses on digital transformation by supporting the development of critical competencies and promoting interest and excellence in the STEM field across EU member states.

As stakeholders from different countries, regions, and sectors and diversity of skills and knowledge, we completely understand the importance of cross-sector collaboration in bringing education into the digital age. The project will create new learning and teaching methods and approaches by developing a game-based digital resource for children (5-12).

The project objectives are the following:

1. To support digital transformation within early childhood care and education and primary school education
2. To develop innovative learning approaches for competence-based teaching in Primary and Kindergarten education
3. To promote interest and excellence in the STEM field through the development of creative learning resources that teach and encourage coding skills in early childhood education
4. By exchanging skills and knowledge, partners will develop a digital pedagogy tool, „Coding Kids!“an android application that teaches children the basics of programming (5-12).
